Caravan and Campsites in Nord-pas-de-Calais

The region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais is just a short trip from England across the Channel and is therefore a popular destination for day trippers. The region boasts contrasting landscapes such as forests, woods, rolling meadows and marshlands and hills dotted with windmills.  The region also has a varied coastline that stretches for miles and 90km of beaches, sand dunes waterways for river cruising, and  much more.
The region is proud of its heritage and traditions and is steeped in history with monuments, museums and historic cities dating from Roman times to the last World Wars.
The coastal towns are the regional delights: Calais, Le Touquet, Etaples and wild and windswept Wimereux. The historic beaches of Dunkerque and Boulogne-sur-Mer, with its appetising fish restaurants and attractive medieval quarter are well worth a visit.
Away from the coast, Arras claims to be one of the most beautiful towns in northern France, with a towering cathedral. Just 8km north is the Vimy Ridge – which is the site of some of the most desperate WW1 trench warfare - now preserved as a stark reminder of the huge and tragic loss of life suffered.
